Slappybara exists to close the gap between artists who make great music and the listeners who deserve to hear it. Musicians get reach and real exposure to an audience that actually cares. Listeners get a curated, genre-specific space built specifically around dubstep and complextro — not just EDM in the broadest possible sense, but the corner of it that goes hard.
The name was almost "Bangaroo." We landed on Slappybara as a nod to the capybara — an animal famously known for having no natural enemies. That felt like the right energy: a space with no gates, no gatekeeping, no losers. Just the music and the people who love it.
We're not a record label yet — but that's where the road leads. Right now, we find and push songs already out in the world, giving them the audience they deserve. Think of us as a curatorial filter: we do the digging so you don't have to.
